SmartOTU is a standalone remote fiber test solution that can automatically detect and locate faults and monitor fiber networks under both in-service and dark fiber monitoring applications
The OTU-5000 Optical Test Unit combines optical time-domain reflectometry (OTDR) and optical-switch technology to provide continuous OTDR monitoring of multiple fibers anywhere in the network. A single OTU-5000 unit, monitoring 72 fibers of 100km and more, occupies only 1RU.
The OTU-8000 Optical Test Unit lies at the core of the VIAVI optical network monitoring system (ONMSi). Combining optical time-domain reflectometry (OTDR) and optical-switch technology, a single OTU8000 unit can test hundreds of fiber links. When a fiber fault occurs, the ONMSi reports the GPS location of the fault within minutes.

fiber characterization
The T-BERD 8000 and T-BERD 6000A combination can support Automated, Bi Directional, Full Fiber Characterization Tests. With only ONE test set at each fiber end, complete OTDR, IL, ORL, CD, PMD, and AP testing can be completed. Auto loading of fiber distance into CD, PMD, and AP tests. Test results report are auto created.
OPTICAL SOURCES AND POWER METERS
The OLTS-85 and OLTS-85P Optical Power Source & Power Meter integrates industry-leading fiber inspection, optical source, and optical power meter into an all-in-one rugged test set. Tests include optical power, polarity, and length for single-mode and multimode fiber.
The SmartPocket OMK-36 is a quad-wavelength optical test kit with a dual-port light source (OLS-36) and a power meter with a UPP interface (OLP-35) for single-mode and multimode power and loss measurement.
The MP-60 and MP-80 measure optical power via a USB 2.0 connection to a PC/laptop/smart device - makes digital processing of optical power measurements possible and integrates directly with the VIAVI FiberChekPRO and FiberChekMOBILE software.
